Go Back Key Learning AreasThe learning programs at Kogarah are developed using the curriculum requirements set by the NSW Board of Studies(BOS) and NSW Department of Education and Training (DET). Teachers work collaboratively to develop programs that meet the needs of our students, while at the same time ensuring students are actively engaged in their learning. There are six Key Learning Areas (KLAs) for Kindergarten to Year 6 students. EnglishEnglish develops students' knowledge, skills and understanding of English language and literature. Personal Development, Health, Physical Education (PDHPE) In Personal Development, Health, Physical Education students learn to understand, value and lead healthy, active and fulfilling lifestyles. They learn about:
